How To vote in the democratic primary!

 Ways to vote

1. Vote by Mail

The application deadline is August 25th, but the sooner you apply, the better! Your ballot must reach your local election office or drop box by close of polls on Election Day in order to be counted.  If you want to vote by mail, your ballot will arrive in August.

Ways to return your ballot:

  • Mail it back using the envelope provided

  • Hand-deliver it to your local election office

  • Drop it off at an early voting location during early voting hours

  • Use a ballot drop box

Note: Ballots cannot be dropped off at a polling place on Election Day.

After mailing or dropping off your ballot, you can use the Track My Ballot tool to see the date your ballot was mailed, the date it was returned, and whether your ballot was accepted or rejected.

2. Vote Early

Early voting runs August 22–28. Contact your local town elections office for specific locations, or visit the state early voting page.

3. Vote on election day

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, September 1st. Polls are open 7 A.M.–8 P.M.
