How To vote in the democratic primary!

 Ways to vote

1. Vote by Mail

Mail ballots must be received by your local elections office by 8 pm on September 1st in order for it to be counted.

It is now too late for mail ballots to be returned by mail. If you still have your mail ballot, do not mail it back, or it will not be counted!

Ways to return your ballot to ensure it is counted:

  • Hand-deliver it to your local election office before Election Day

  • Use a ballot drop box before 8pm on Election Day

After mailing or dropping off your ballot, you can use the Track My Ballot tool to see the date your ballot was mailed, the date it was returned, and whether your ballot was accepted or rejected.

2. Vote Early

Early voting runs August 22–28. Contact your local town elections office for specific locations, or visit the state early voting page.

3. Vote on election day

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, September 1st. Polls are open 7 A.M.–8 P.M.
